Quick access to the case lookup form
Security Parking tickets include a QR code that gives the motorist easy access to the lookup form for a compensation request.
The QR code contains a Security Parking web address. It does not generally open a specific case directly.
Depending on the type of ticket, the first part of the reference may already be included in the link. It usually corresponds to the account or ticket-series identifier followed by a hyphen, for example:
`SECURITY117-`
The final part of the reference and the vehicle registration number are generally added to the ticket when the parking event is recorded.
This QR code is not a Swiss QR bill
The QR code on the ticket must not be confused with the code used on a Swiss QR bill.
It is therefore not intended to be scanned with a banking application. Its sole purpose is to open the lookup form on the Security Parking website.
The motorist must then complete the information written on the ticket to access the relevant case.
How do you scan the QR code with a phone?
No additional application is required on most recent phones.
To open the form:
- Open the camera on your phone.
- Point it at the QR code without taking a photograph.
- Hold the phone still for a few moments.
- A notification or web address should appear on the screen.
- Tap the notification to open the form in your browser.
The QR code must be sufficiently well lit and entirely visible on the screen. If the phone is too close, move it slightly further away so that the camera can focus correctly.
What information must be entered?
The form requires two items of information:
- The complete reference of the compensation request.
- The vehicle registration number concerned.
This information is normally shown on the ticket and may have been added by hand when the parking event was recorded.
If the beginning of the reference is already displayed, complete it with the number shown on the ticket. Then check that the full reference matches the document you received.
For example, if the form displays:
`SECURITY117-`
and the number added to the ticket is:
`40`
the complete reference to enter is:
`SECURITY117-40`
You must also enter the vehicle registration number written on the ticket.
What should you do if no link appears?
If the phone does not recognise the QR code immediately:
- Check that the entire code is visible.
- Avoid shadows, reflections or folds in the ticket.
- Clean the camera lens if the image appears blurred.
- Try moving the phone slightly closer or further away.
- Check the camera settings to make sure QR-code scanning is enabled.
- Use a built-in feature such as Google Lens, if available.
It is preferable to use the functions built into your phone rather than downloading an unfamiliar scanning application specifically for this purpose.
How can you open the form without using the QR code?
Scanning the QR code is not compulsory.
You can open the following address directly:
Then enter the complete reference and the vehicle registration number shown on the ticket.
This method is equivalent to using the QR code, except that the beginning of the reference may not already be completed.
Can you request a direct link to the case?
If you are unable to retrieve the case, you can request a direct link using our contact form.
To allow us to identify the case, you must provide:
- The complete reference written on the ticket.
- The vehicle registration number.
- A valid email address to which the link can be sent.
After verification, we can send you a direct link to the corresponding case by email.
A few security checks
Before continuing, make sure that the displayed address belongs to the following domain:
`securityparking.ch`
A Security Parking QR code will never ask for your online banking password. Its only purpose is to open the case lookup form.
If you subsequently choose to make a payment, follow only the instructions displayed on the official page and those provided by your payment service provider.
If you have any doubts about a ticket, link or request you have received, contact us before making a payment.
